Branding and Multiple Domains
Our VPS packages provide an excellent alternative to Hostway branded shared and dedicated hosting products, or the ideal upgrade path for those webmasters that wish to host multiple websites from a single interface.
Competitively-priced, and installed with numerous industry standard applications, VPS packages provide you with all the tools you need to set up and control both your own website, and those of your customers.
Branding
Resellers that wish to use our Plesk VPS packages so that they can host their own clients are now able to change the logo that appears in the top-left hand corner of the Plesk interface. This has many benefits for a Reseller or design-agency looking to 'white-label' the hosting services of a provider such as Hostway.
With this feature you can customise the interface so that your clients do not need to know that their sites are hosted with us. You can also enable the helpdesk feature by upgrading your license key, so that you can more easily coordinate your clients' support queries.
In addition to this, you can set up your own Remote DNS service with an 3rd Party, allowing you to set up your own Name Servers and provide alternative skins to the 'XP Look' default provided.
Multiple Domains
A key benefit of using our VPS packages is the ability to host multiple domains on the same package. This allows you to setup hosting services for friends, family and your own clients.
Depending on the type of package, you can set this up in different ways. On a Root VPS, you can create and configure websites in Apache, the native web server. On a Plesk VPS, you use the Plesk interface to create domain, mail, diskpace and FTP quotas, and to specify additional application functionality, such as MySQL or PostGreSQL databases.
For experienced system administrators, a Root VPS allows any number of domains, constrained only by available disksapce and resources. For Resellers and multiple site owners using Plesk VPS, the amount of domains is constrained by the amount of domains included in the package specification.
